Soldiers of 22 and 23 Divisions under Security Forces Headquarters (East) (SF HQ (E)) conducted following community development work to ease the difficulties faced by the villages in the East.
3rd Sri Lanka National Guard organized a lunch packet distribution for the children in Thilahawathiyar Childern Home. 12th Gajaba Regiment conducted a ‘Shramadhana’ champagne along with civilians to clean the Kommathurei School in Batticaloa and on 25 April 5th Artillery Regiment conducted a Bodi Pooja at the ‘Uthurugiri Viharaya’. 12th Artillery Regiment conducted two ‘Shramadhana’ champagnes along with villages to clean the local Post office in Batticaloa District and to clean Sungankerni Pulleyar Kovil. 14th National Guard conducted a Sil Observance at the Panchamaha Viharaya, Punani and 15th Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment Soldiers helped to renovate the Dharma Shalawa at Agbopura Temple.
2 Gajaba Regiment under 221 Brigade and 22nd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment under 222 Brigade organized two separate ‘Shramadhana’ campaigns on Saturday (27) to clean the ‘Rewatha Children’s home in Trincomale and Serunuwara, Temple respectively.
In a separate occasion Soldiers of 233 Brigade and 5th Artillery Regiment under 224 Brigades conducted a Blood donation campaign at Jayamaga Pirivena in Higurakgoda and Muthur Hospital on 27 and 28 April.
