East Troops Educated on Cyber Crimes & Social Media

The Directorate of Information and Technology (DIT) conducted an awareness programme on ‘impact of social media & cyber crimes’ at the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) auditorium on Thursday (5).

Participants were educated on basic precautions to protect themselves from the cybercrimes, maintaining their privacy in popular social networking websites including Facebook, Viber, Whats App, etc, the adverse impacts of posting statements, propagating hatred, sharing sensitive security information and uploading unauthorized photos. Further, the session also covered the legal implications against military personnel who are committed legally by both civil and military law when engaging in unacceptable conducts through social media.
