"e- Nenasala" To Provide IT Training to Dependent War Heroes at ' Abimansala'

The 'Abimansala', wellness resort at Anuradhapura where some 52 life-time dependent War Heroes of the North Central Province (NCP) are housed for therapy, rehabilitation, rest and recreation was honoured once again when the government under the Presidential Secretariat's, 'Guna-Nena Saviya' project gifted a " e-Nenasala" IT training centre after donating a stock of new laptop computers to those inmates.

The formal opening of the 664th "e-Nenasala" on Monday (6) in parallel with the ongoing "Deyata Kirula" Exhibition was declared by Deputy Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya (MP) after unveiling a plaque. Chief Minister for NCP Berty Premalal Dissanayake, Chairperson, Ranaviru Seva Authority Ms Padma Wettewa, Major General R.V. Samarathunga, Director of Rehabilitation in the Army and a gathering of state officials were present on the occasion.

An inmate at 'Abimansala' after offering a sheaf of betel received the visiting guests to the opening ceremony where the Deputy Minister Siyambalapitiya summed up the objective and importance of establishing a centre of this nature for the benefit of dependent War Heroes who could eventually be trained for IT through therapy and rehabilitation.
