Exploration of the possibilities of re-settling displaced persons in Jaffna peninsula and how the international community could help in this direction, etc were among a few issues that were taken up by Mrs. Susan Th-Blankhart, Ambassador for Netherlands in Sri Lanka when she met Brigadier D. M. D Alwis, (Brigadier, General Staff) recently at Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna.
She was accompanied by Mr. Jan Hueken, First Secretary to the Embassy of Netherlands and scheduled to visit the Kankesanthurai harbour.
During this meeting, Brigadier Alwis briefed the visiting delegate on the security situation in the peninsula.
