DSCSC Grooms 128 More psc Graduates

Student Officers of the tri-forces who had successfully completed the Course No 11 of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) at Sapugaskanda received their Degree Certificates during the Graduation Ceremony held at the college auditorium on Wednesday (13).

Major General Ruwan Kulatunga, Commandant, DSCSC received HE the President Maithripala Sirisena, Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces as the Chief Guest, and all other distinguished invitees on arrival at the entrance to the auditorium.

The Graduation Ceremony began with all those present observing a moment of silence as a tribute to all fallen War Heroes. All graduates received their parchments containing their degree certificates from the Chief Guest in order of the sequence and their merits.

128 student Officers of the tri-forces, including 65 Army, 23 Navy, 26 Air Force and 14 foreign student officers graduated after completing their training at this prestigious institute.

The list of graduates included 14 foreign officers from 12 different countries, like Australia, USA, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Ruwanda, Sudan and Vietnam.

Hon Minister Ruwan Wijayawardane, State Minister of Defence, together with Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Mr Kapila Waidyarathne PC was also present at the occasion as distinguished guests.

Special awards were presented to Student Officers who displayed outstanding performances during the course. "The Owlet', the annual journal of the college was also presented to the guests during the ceremony.

Chief of Defence Staff, tri-forces commanders, past commanders, members of the diplomatic corps, defence ministry officials, Commandant of the Kotalawela Defence University, Commandant and staff of the DSCSC, senior tri-force officers and families of graduating officers were among the distinguished invitees present at the occasion.
