Troops under the Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) organized a series of Dhamma preaching programmes.
In order to enhance moral development in society on the instructions of Major General U.A.B Medawela, Commander, SFHQ-West, the programme got underway.
On Friday (19), 144 Brigade, 3 Gemunu Watch and Regimental Headquarters, Military Intelligence Corps (MIC) troops organized the programme in their respective locations separately. Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Training School conducted the programme on Saturday (20).
144 Brigade, Regimental Headquarters, GW, Regimental Headquarters, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) and the Army Temple, Panagoda conducted the programme at respective places on Sunday (21).
The programme was conducted by Ven. Kahaduwe Kolitha Thero and Ven. Madovita Wajirabuddhi Thero, Chief Incumbent, Homagama Purana Viharaya.
144 officers and more than 5800 other ranks participated in the events.
