DG Infantry Inspects Infantry Training Schools

Intending to seek possibilities of enhancing the professional competence and effectiveness of Infantry Battalions of the Army, Director General Infantry, Major General Duminda Keppitiwalana during 16 - 17 September inspected Battalion Training Schools in Punani, Katukeliyawa and Thaulwewa. During these visits, respective Officers in those training schools briefed the visiting Director General on ongoing training sessions in their establishments and planned modules in the future.

During his addresses to respective training centres, the visiting Director General emphasized the importance of continuing Battalion Training sessions as a collective module since it is the only opportunity awarded to all ranks to exercise their combat efficiency, battle readiness, cohesiveness and further improvement of the effectiveness of Infantry Battalion in order to be prepared for any future challenges.
