SENIOR Presidential Advisor Basil Rajapaksa (MP) who conducts the Northern development programmes under “Uthuru Wasanthaya” had a discussion on ongoing development and rehabilitation work at the Wanni Security Forces Headquarters in Vavuniya on Tuesday (30).
The discussion was headed by Security Forces Commander Wanni (SFHQ-W) Major General Jagath Jayasuriya. It was attended by the Security Forces Commanders of Kilinochchi and Mullaittivu, Major General Channa Goonetilake and Major General Nandana Udawatta, Brigadier General Staff SFHQ-W Brigadier S Ranasinghe, District Secretary for Vavuniya Mrs. P.S.M Charles and Killinochchi Mr. N. Vethanayaha, Mullaittivu Mrs. Imelda Sukumar and a few other government authorities.
The focus centered on coordination of the role of the Security Forces in those development projects and conduct of those projects according to taking security concern into consideration.
