DCOS Reviews Finishing Touches at Army-built 'Ayati Center for Children' at Ragama

Major General Kumudu Perera, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS), together with a few Officers went to Ragama and reviewed the progress of the Army-undertaken construction work of the first ever center for children with Down Syndrome (genetic and nutritional aspects of accompanying disorders) and Autism (symptoms in children with autism) in Sri Lanka, named as ‘Ayati Center for Children’ at Ragama.

During his stay there, Major General Kumudu Perera shared views with 10 (Volunteer) Corps of Engineer Service (CES) troops, engaged in the construction work and inspired them further inquiring into different aspects of the project which is scheduled to be opened on 18 July by the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake.

Ayati Center for Children is being constructed under the auspices of Ayati Trust Sri Lanka and its estimated cost is Rs. 375 million.

The foundation stone for it was laid by Hon Ruwan Wijewardene, State Minister of Defence & Mass Media on 03 December 2016. Running sport media | Sneaker & Lifestyle News
