Dazzling "Tharu Dilena Reyak III" To Go On Boards at Nelum Pokuna

Tharu Dilena Reyak III’, the fund-raising musical extravaganza with a galaxy of popular vocalists and artistes is to be staged by the Sri Lanka Army in collaboration with the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) on 29th December at Nelum Pokuna for the express purpose of harnessing financial support for construction of 'Abimansala' wellness resorts.
 
The entertainment, featuring many surprises and popular stars is spearheaded by Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President SVAB for the fund-raising "Brave Hearts" project.  Indian pop icon, Asha Bhosle and the Sri Lankan duo, Bhathiya and Santhush contributed to the last year's Army organized show. Choreography for this year’s mega show is done by veteran artist, Chandana Wickramasinghe.   

The SVAB, instrumental in harnessing financial and material support for construction of Wellness Resorts (Abimansala) at different provincial levels for mental and physical well-being of totally dependent disable War Heroes, expects to kick off its third ‘Abimansala’ construction shortly in Wayamba province. Proceeds of this mammoth musical evening go to the construction of the third  ‘Abimansala’ in the Kurunegala district after opening of the 'Abimansala-2' at Kamburupitiya shortly.

On an initiative of the Secretary Defence and the Commander of the Army,in keeping with Mahinda Chinthana policy statment, plans are afoot to house some three hundred permanently disable Army War Heroes in state-of-the-art Wellness Resorts for mental and physical relaxation with all necessary medical and clinical assistance on hand. The first of such centres for rest and recreation for permanently disable War Heroes was ceremonially opened on 26th July 2010 at Anuradhapura by His Excellency, the President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
