The renowned business establishment, David Pieris Motors Company Ltd, honouring its financial commitment for complete erection of the swimming pool at Anuradhapura ‘Abimansala’, Wellness Resort for dependent War Heroes under the ‘Brave Hearts’ project, presented its first installment of Rs 3 million to the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) on Friday (24).
David Pieris Motors Company Ltd, which has undertaken the entire cost of Rs 15.2 million for construction of the Swimming Pool project in the complex, needed for hydrotherapy of disable War Heroes, has in addition pledged a sum of Rs 10 million separately for construction of two Villa units in the project. It was assured by this company soon after the project was announced several months ago.
The cheque to the value of Rs 3 million to be used for the swimming pool was presented by company’s Sales Director Mr Jagath Kulathunga this morning (24) to a staff officer in the SVAB during a brief meeting that took place at the company’s head office. The SVAB, presided by Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya has been at the forefront of raising funds for this project since its inception.
