CTS Troops Clean Ampara Town & Inginiyagala Road

Responding to an appeal made by the District Secretary for Ampara, troops at Combat Training School (CTS), Ampara on Friday (3) carried out a ‘Shramadana’ drive covering the Ampara town area and sideways of the Inginiyagala road, infested with garbage and other remnants.

The cleaning project conducted on the directions of Brigadier Shantha Dissanayake, Commandant, CTS was supported by respective serving troops in the CTS.

Altogether 200 Army troops contributed to the cleaning project, including the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Nalin Bandaranayake, officer instructors, other rank instructors, and student soldiers of the CTS.

District Secretary for Ampara along with his staff appreciated this community-based project.

The Commanding Officer, CTS, senior officers, other rankers Public Health Inspectors (PHI) and civilians attended the inaugural occasion of the cleaning project.
