A cricket tournament, in parallel with the 2012 Inter Regiment Para Sports Tournament got underway recently at Kurunegala Maligapitiya grounds with the participation of six cricket teams of the Army.
Sri Lanka National Guard Regimental Headquarters team and Sri Lanka Armoured Corps team vied in the final encounter.
The overall tournament however enabled the Gajaba Regiment Cricket team to emerge as the winner. Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment teams were the runners-up.
