Construction of New Gymnasium in 53 Division Begins

The foundation stone-laying ceremony for construction of a new indoor gymnasium for Officers and Other Rankers serving 53 Division Headquarters in Inamaluwa, Dambulla, took place on Thursday (23).

To be in line with the Commander’s thinking that every camp should consist of health, social and other necessary recreation facilities, Major General Athula Kodippili, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 53 Division took the initiative in this direction and began the project in earnest, amid blessings of Pirith chanting of members of the Maha Sangha during the inaugural ceremony.

Senior Officers, officers and Other Rankers serving the 53 Division Headquarters attended the day’s programme.
