Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Army was among one of the Chief Guests at the cornerstone-laying ceremony of the new Dharmashala (preaching hall) and the Daham School building at Dankotuwa, Metikotuwa Sri Surendrarama Purana Viharaya on Friday (9).
At the invitation of Ven. Pandith Yatiyana Wimalabuddhi Thero, Incumbent, Sri Surendrarama Purana Viharaya and the Dayaka Sabhawa, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake attended the ceremonial occasion and laid the foundation stone, together with a gathering of distinguished other invitees.
Most Ven. Welamitiyawe Kusaladhamma Nayake Thero, Chancellor, University of Kelaniya presided the Daham Hamuwa that followed the cornerstone-laying.
