Commander Joins Get-together of Warrant Officers & Sergeants at Army Headquarters

Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake despite the busy schedule he has, joined the annual Get-Together of Warrant Officers & Sergeants serving the Army Headquarters on Friday (21) as the Chief Guest.

The Chief Guest on arrival at the Warrant Officers’ & Sergeants’ Mess was welcomed by Warrant Officer I W.M.S.P Wijesinghe, Regimental Sergeant Major at the Army Headquarters before he was warmly ushered to the mess hall. During the Commander's stay there, he interacted with participating Warrant Officers and Sergeants and shared views with them on matters of relevance to them and lent his best wishes for their future endeavours.

Prior to his departure, the Regimental Sergeant Major at the Army Headquarters awarded a memento to the Commander of the Army soon after his welcome speech to the occasion. Secretary in the Mess presented several more mementos to Senior Officers participating, together with the Commander of the Army.
