Civil Sector Cricketers Play with Army Teams

Promoting gestures of goodwill and friendship between civilians and members of the armed forces, the 56 Division commanded by Major General Prabath Dematanpitiya, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 56 Division organized a cricket tournament at the 56 Division grounds.

The tournament competed by two civil sector cricket clubs finally pushed the 56 Division cricket team and the Adiknilamadha Cricket Club for the final tussle.

However, Adiknilamadha Cricket Club cricketers recorded the victory and qualified to receive the championship.

Award of prizes to winners took place on Sunday (16), headed by the brainchild behind the tournament, Major General Prabath Dematanpitiya at the 56 Division ground in the presence of Officers, Other Ranks, civilians and a gathering of invitees to the occasion.Sport media | Nike sneakers
