Officers following the Junior Command Course on Counter Insurgency Jungle Warfare (JCC CIJW) No 14 at Army Training School (ATS), Maduruoya went on a field visit to the Security Force Headquarters-Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) area for two days (Nov 16 -17).
Those student officers first visited the SFHQ-MLT on Monday (16) where they were received by Major General P.U.S. Vithanage, Commander, SFHQ-MLT. Afterwards they were briefed on the roles and tasks of the SFHQ-MLT during a meet at the auditorium.
Students then visited the 59 Division Headquarters on the same day and the 68 Division Headquarters on Tuesday (17) and had the opportunity to visit several key places, related to the Humanitarian Operations a few years ago.
A total of 31 officers (27 local and 4 foreign) who are following the course, joined the visit.
