Medical camps, Distribution of sanitary-ware and appliances among households, launch of humanitarian projects, etc in the general area of Veherathennagama, Vavuniya for the benefit of newly resettled people, took prominence during Christmas season.
On Thursday (26) more than 380 villagers had access to medical consultations during a medical camp organized in the village.
On the following day, 62 Division Headquarters in cooperation with Mirigama Divisional Secretariat, gave away 150 sanitary appliances to the villagers of Veherathennagama.
Meanwhile, 62 Division and 623 Brigade jointly distributed a large stock of Christmas gifts among pre-school kids and other students at Veherathennagama on Saturday (28).
Former test cricketer, Roshan Mahanama and Hemas Pvt Ltd sponsored the cost of those Christmas gifts at the invitation of the 62 Division Headquarters.
