Adding their contribution to the Season of Peace and Goodwill, troops in the Vijayabhahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) staged their Christmas Carols at the Cinema Hall, Regimental Headquarters in Boyagane on Tuesday (18) under the guidance of Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Colonel of the Regiment and Deputy Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army.
Brigadier Srinath Ariyasinghe, VIR Centre Commandant graced the event as the Chief Guest and joined the spectators at the Cinema Hall to witness the spectacle with hundreds of all ranks.
Pannipitiya – Pamunugama, Saint Nicolay's Church Pantharu team also coloured the event, hand in hand with Army choirs presenting X’mas dramas and Carols based on the life cycle of Jesus Christ.
