Chinese Minister Bids Goodbye


Leaving memories of goodwill, the visiting General Liang Guanglie, State Councillor and Minister of National Defence of People’s Republic of China (PRC), together with his delegation left Sri Lanka Sunday (2) afternoon after a luncheon meeting with Deputy Minister of External Affairs, Hon. G.J.L Neomal Perera, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetillake, Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral D.W.A.S. Dissanayake, Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal H.D Abeywickrama and Military Liaison Officer (MLO), Major General Palitha Fernando (retd).

Hon. Neomal Perera Deputy Minister of External Affairs on behalf of Sri Lanka thanked the Chinese Minister for his concerns and assistance towards Sri Lanka.

The visiting Defence Minister presented a memento to the Deputy Minister of External Affairs, Hon. G.J.L Neomal Perera and wished him good luck with his future endeavours.

A photo album containing memories of his stay in Sri Lanka was also gifted to the Chinese Minister on the same occasion by the CDS.
