Central Troops Learn More About ‘Prevention of Rabies’

An awareness programme on ‘Control and Prevention of Rabies’ educated all ranks in the Army during an arrangement that got underway at the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) auditorium on Wednesday (8).

Dr Amila Gunasekara, Head at the Anti Rabies Unit, National Hospital, Colombo, together with his team spoke to the members of the Army serving the SFHQ-C, comprised of 10 (V) Corps of Engineer Services and those serving the Magampura International Conference Hall in Hambantota under the 12 Division of the SFHQ-C.

The lecture focused on the measures that should be taken in the event of a biting, immediately after a biting, remedial measures, preventive requirements, responsibilities of local authorities, roles of civil members of the society and the medical process, etc.
