Central Troops Continue with Community Projects

Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) expanding their community-oriented projects further carried out two more Shramadana (self-help) cleaning assignments with the participation of 2 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (SLRC) of the 111 Brigade serving under the SFHQ-C.

On Saturday (6) at the request of resident monks and nuns at Atabage Sri Sanghamitta monastery, the troops cleaned and repaired the roof of the Sanghawasa (residential building) since the roof was covered with a lot of dried leaves and other elements. 

Troops in close cooperation with the monks completed the project with enthusiasm. 

Similarly, the same troops serving the 11 Division of the SFHQ-C at the request of the monks at Hadunmalkaduwa Sri Sumanatissa Daham school painted its school buildings and the Chaithya (pagoda) in the temple premises. 

Contribution of the troops received commendation of the laity and the laymen at the temple. 

Major General Sumadha Perera, Commander, SFHQ-C has given his blessings to the projects.
