Budding Entrepreneurs Support Explosion Victims

Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE), a newly-formed organization of budding businessmen in the country, thoughtful of the impact of the recent Explosion at Salawa - Kosgama, handed over a big consignment of mattresses, mosquito nets, pillows, bed sheets and pillow cases for distribution among victims in Salawa area to Eng. Karunasena Hettiarachchi, Secretary of Defence during a brief meeting at the Ministry of Defence (MoD) premises this morning (24). 

Chairman, COYLE, Mr Kasun Rajapaksa, together with a group of their members symbolically handed a couple of those items at the occasion. Eng. Hettiarachchi in turn formally delivered the stock to the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva and the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne who would ensure the provision of those items to the most deserving victims in respective areas.

The consignment contained 350 mattresses, 350 mosquito nets, 700 pillows, 350 bed sheets and 700 pillow cases. 

Eng. Hettiarachchi thanked the donors profusely and spoke high of their concern towards those victims as a team of young businessmen. 

Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage, Military Liaison Officer at the MoD was also present at the occasion.
