Brave Soldier And Good Samaritan

Thirty-eight year old, O.G Ravindra Kumara was a soldier and he lost one of his legs to an anti-personnel mine, fighting the LTTE in the Welioya area in August 1995. Ravindra Kumara has donated blood 31 times at the annual blood donation campaigns organized by the Thamubuttegama Buddhist Centre since its inception.

He is a social worker in the area and lives a righteous and an exemplary life, said the patron of Buddhist Centre Ven Dr Attangane Ratanapala Thera. (Courtesy: The Island)
