Bangladesh NDC Delegation Before Departure Meets Commander

A delegation of 22 student officers at the Bangladesh National Defence College (NDC) who arrived in Sri Lanka to attend the just-concluded ‘Defence Seminar - 2015’ before their departure, called on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Chrishanthe De Silva at the Army Headquarters Thursday (3) morning.    

The delegation, headed by Lieutenant General Chowdhury Hasan Sarwardy, Commandant at the NDC, Bangladesh, exchanged views on Defence Seminar sessions, NDC curriculum and pleasantries.

Towards the end of the interaction, Lieutenant General Chowdhury Hasan Sarwardy and   Lieutenant General Chrishanthe De Silva exchanged mementos as tokens of goodwill.       

The visiting delegation is expected to meet the Commander of the Navy and the Commander of the Air Force before their departure.

Those NDC officers arrived in Sri Lanka on 30 August with the objective of attending the Army organized ‘Defence Seminar 2015’. During their stay in Sri Lanka, they met the High Commissioner for Bangladesh and the Defence Secretary, Mr B.M.U.D Basnayaka before their Thursday’s meeting with the Commander of the Army.

Meanwhile, the same delegation on August (31) made a trip down to the Security Force Headquarters, East (SFHQ-E) and met Major General N.J Walgama, Commander, SFHQ-E and exchanged views with him matters of importance and roles and task of the SFHQ-E in the area.

Major General Walgama presented a token memento to the head of the visiting delegation,  Lieutenant General Chowdhury Hasan Sarwardy.
