Awareness Programmes on Drugs Go to Gajaba Regiment Hqrs, 66 & 65 Divisions

Directorate of Psychological Operations which is instrumental in launching various awareness programmes on ‘Dangers of Drugs and Alcohol’ recently held 3 separate workshops in Saliyapura and two other areas of responsibility under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN).

Lecturers, selected by the Directorate of Psychological Operations first went to the Gajaba Regiment Headquarters at Saliyapura, Anuradhapura on 28 March and educated a total of 253 Officers and Other Rankers in this regard.

Afterwards, lectures conducted at the 66 Division Headquarters and the 65 Division Headquarters of the SFHQ-KLN during March 29 - 30 educated 217 Army personnel and 252 Army personnel respectively at both locations.

Lecturers of the Sri Lanka Army Psychiatric Health Unit, Directorate of Legal and the Alcohol and Drug Information Centre (ADIC) contributed to the lecture sessions by organizing a group of performing street dramatists to symbolize the importance of prevention from drugs during those lecture session.
