An awareness programme for pregnant mothers for better health care in Kilinochchi area was organized on Saturday (19) by the troops of the 57 Division and 6 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) with the coordination of Union Assurance PLC and Regional Directorate Health Services (RDHS) - Kilinochchi at the Harmony Centre, Kilinochchi.
Dr. L Muralidaran of the Regional Directorate Health Services, Kilinochchi conducted lectures for 170 pregnant mothers and 25 midwives during the arrangement. At the same time, a stock of baby kit bags, nutrition packs and essentials were distributed among those pregnant mothers who attended the event.
General Officer Commanding 57 Division, together with the Commander, 573 Brigade, Mr Keerthi Munasinghe, Brand Manager Union Assurance PLC, Mr K Kokilan, Zonal Manager Union Assurance PLC and a few others were present.
