ATS Seminar on ‘War Model of Counter Terrorism: Its Failures & Successes’ Draws to a Close

The annual seminar of the Maduruoya Army Training School got underway for the third consecutive time under the theme, ‘War Model of Counter Terrorism: Its Failures and Successes’ on during 23 – 25 August.

Major General Aruna Jayasekera, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 22 Division graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the keynote speech to mark the commencement of the seminar sessions.

The Army Training School being the premier training establishment in the Sri Lanka Army provides basic and advanced academic forums for both Officers and Other Rankers including foreign Officers, specially, in the field of counter insurgency and counter terrorism.

Brigadier Jayantha Seneviratne, the Commandant, together with Staff Officers of the Army Training School organized the seminar aiming to enhance the knowledge of the middle-grade officers of the Sri Lanka Army, Navy, Air Force and Police under the guidance of the Commander of the Army.

This year’s audience was comprised of 38 officers including 33 officers from the Army, 2 x officers from Sri Lanka Navy, 1 x officer from Sir Lanka Air Force and 2 x participants from Sri Lanka Police. The resource personnel of the seminar consisted of 20 senior Army officers.

All participants were tasked to produce syndicate presentations after the sessions and their performances were commented by all supervising officers. The closing ceremony awarded certificates to the participants. spy offers | Buy online Sneaker for Men
