Sri Lanka Army wrestlers in the ‘Pulser Power’ National Wrestling Tournament, organized by Sri Lanka Wrestling Council, emerged runners-up, winning two Gold, four Silver and four Bronze medals in the tournament, held during December 01 - 03 at the Indoor Stadium of the Sport Ministry.
Sport Minister Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekera graced the final ceremony as the Chief Guest along with the Director General of the Sports Development Department Mr Saman Bandara.
Different sports clubs, including tri services, Police, competed in the event.
Private H.P.T.P Chandrasekara of 1 Sri Lanka Engineers played for the Army team was selected as the Best Player of the tournament.
In the women’s wrestling event, Sri Lanka Army sportswomen were adjudged the runners-up in the tournament by winning 1 Gold medal, 5 Silver medals and 5 Bronze medals.
