Sri Lanka Army wrestlers were adjudged the champions in the National Novice Wrestling Association Games 2016, held during 16-18 September at the Indoor Complex in the Sports Ministry Complex, Colombo 7.
Army wrestlers secured 04 Gold, 04 Silver and 04 Bronze medals respectively.
Army wrestler, Sapper H.P.D Pushpakumara emerged the best player in the tournament.
The final tussle was witnessed by Mr. U.H.V Nevil Padmasiri, Chairman, Sri Lanka Wrestling Association and Mr. M.A.C.K Mallawarachchi, Secretary, Sri Lanka Wrestling Association.
Afterwards, the winners sat for a photograph with the Commander Security Forces - West, Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe at the Security Force Headquarters - West premises.
