Sri Lanka Army Women’s team took part in the inter-club Rugby tournament that took place at Royal College sports complex on Saturday (17).
Organized by the Sri Lanka Rugby Federation Union, the Army Women’s ‘A’ team beat the Air Force women’s team securing 29 - 5 points.
Sri Lanka Army Women’s ‘B’ team meanwhile won the shield for runners-up in the final round of the tournament. Private M.M Ayesha Sewwandi Perera of SLAWC was adjudged the best sports woman in the tournament.
