The Wheelchair Tennis Tournament in Thailand swept Corporal R.A.L.S Ranaweera of Gajaba Regiment in the Sri Lanka Army to supremacy awarding Co-Championship in the Open Single Category and the third place in the Open Double Event.
Similarly, Lance Bombardier D.A.S.R Dharmasena of Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment secured the third place in the Open Double Event and he was also able to enter the Semi Finals in the Open Single Event.
According to the Army Tennis Committee, this was the first time a wheelchair tennis player of the Sri Lanka Army secured the Championship in the Open Single category. They are shortly expected to attend the Open Wheelchair Tournament in Malaysia.
