Army Weightlifting Committee Chairman Congratulates Commonwealth Medal Winner

Lance Corporal K.C.T.A.S. Abeykoon of 5 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) made his Regiment and Sri Lanka Army proud when he recently bagged a Bronze Medal at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship-2015, held during 10-16 October in Pune, India.

Competing at the 94 kg event, Lance Corporal Abeykoon lifted 298 kgs to clinch the Bronze medal.

Major General M.H.P. Mihindulukasuriya, Chairman, Army Weightlifting Committee congratulated Lance Corporal K.C.T.A.S. Abeykoon on his achievement.
