A Shramadana campaign was launched to clean and renovate the irrigation canal of Vavnikulam reservoir on Friday (7). The project was initiated by the 65 Division under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi Major General Amal Karunasekara.
A total of 1070 troops and about 500 farmers in Vavnikulam village participated in this Shramadana campaign.
During the campaign, lunch was also provided by 65 Division Headquarters as a gesture of goodwill.
