Army troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ- C) took immediate steps to bring a fast spreading bushfire under control in the mountain area of Randeniala Forest at Walapane on Wednesday (24).
A total of 58 Army personnel including one officer and 25 other ranks of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), one officer and 20 other ranks of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) and one officer and 10 other ranks of 2 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (SLRC) supported the control of its spread further.
