A beach march of the Peradeniya University students under the theme ‘Uthuru Tharanaya’ reached Mullaittivu area on Thursday (28) where Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) troops served them with meals and refreshment under the supervision of Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu (SF-MLT).
10 students from the Faculty of Arts at University of Peradeniya participated in the fortnight march which used the beaches along the northern peninsula.
The expedition is mean to evaluate the economic, social and cultural prospects in the Northern Province, comprised of the folk living near the beaches.
