The Army Tennis team, represented by Major General Aruna Jayasekara, Commander, Security Forces - East Colonel P Vithanage, Lance Corporal W.G.C Jagath and Lance Bombardier Uthpala Kumara who vied in the annual Clay Court National Tennis Championship tournament emerged as the overall Runners-up during the event held between 10 - 22 May at Udawalawa.
Major General Aruna Jayasekara and Colonel P Vithanage competing under the above 45 years age category (double), Lance Corporal W.G.C Jagath (single) above 35 years age category and Lance Bombardier Uthpala Kumara (double) under above 35 years category carried away the Runners-up shield in the tournament.
