Army Swimmers Take Part in Swimming Tournament

Army swimmers participating in the open 2-km swimming meet at Mount Lavinia beach, organized by Sri Lanka Water Sports Association, secured Armed Forces Championship Trophy, HPN Challenge Trophy and Punctual Finish Trophy after competing with 700 swimmers of 32 sports clubs during the two-day long tournament (March 1-2).

With the blessings of the Security Force Headquarters, West (SFHQ-West), the Army Committee for Swimming and Water Polo, nominated 101 male swimmers and 4 female swimmers for participation to the tournament.

Corporal W.K.S Viduranga of Gemunu Watch received the Trophy for the Best Disable Sportsman in the tournament.
