Army School of Logistics Celebrates Its 7th Anniversary

The Army School of Logistics (ASL) celebrated its 7th anniversary with a series of commemorative programmes, including special religious observances on the directions of the Commandant of the Army School of Logistics, Brigadier W.G.D Wanniarachchi.

The anniversary celebrations kicked off with a special Pooja ceremony, conducted at the ASL Kovil premises. A special prayer ceremony was held at Sahriya Jummah Masjith Mosque in Nachchikuda followed by a special mass held at St. Anthony’s Church, China Bay on 7 May.

A special Bodhi Pooja ceremony was held at the ASL on Tuesday (8) evening to invoke blessings on the Army School of Logistics and the Army.

On the anniversary day (9 May), the military formalities commenced with a Guard Turnout presented by the troops of the ASL saluting its Commandant. Planting a tree sapling, a troop address followed by an All-Rank lunch and a mega musical entertaining event ended the day’s anniversary programme.

Deputy Commandant, Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors, Faculty Members, Permanent Staff, Student Officers and the staff took part in the anniversary celebrations.
