Sri Lanka Army ruggerites in a convincing victory against Sri Lanka Air Force counterparts secured 60 points against 30 of their rivals and recorded a dominating win in the Army - Air Force rugby tussle at Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium.
At the second half burst saw Air Force entering in an aggressive manner with the first try point within 42 minutes. However, Army’s players in the 69 and 70 minute before closing out recorded 2 tries and brought the point table to 60, to win over Air Force.
Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Army, together with a host of other senior officers witnessed the encounter amid a large gathering on Sunday (19).
