Army-Produced Boxer Adjudged the Best Intermediate Boxer-2014

Sri Lanka Army Boxer, Lance Corporal N.B.A.J Vimukthi Kumara clinched the Best Boxer Award in Men’s category in Amateur Boxing Association (ABA).

The intermediate boxing championship 2014 (Men and Women),  organized by Sri Lanka Amateur Boxing Association at the Jayathilake Indoor Stadium, Nawalapitiya, kicked  off on  Thursday (17) and continued till Monday (21).

A total of 220 boxers from 17 boxing clubs, including tri services and the Police fought for supremacy under 29 different weight categories.

Army boxers won 7 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals and 7 Bronze Medals in Men’s category and 1 Gold Medal and 3 Bronze Medals in Women’s category.
