Army Personnel Educated on Nursery Management

A three month long training programme on nursery management and agriculture course was conducted for selected Army personnel during simple ceremony on Friday (30).

The three-month long course continued till 30 June 2017 to suit the ongoing national programme on ‘Api Wawamu - Rata Nagamu’ 30 soldiers followed the course.

During the three-month long course, Army personnel learnt more about both theoretical and practical aspects on cultivation of plants and nursery management systems.

The certificate awarding ceremony on Friday (30) was held at the District Agricultural Training Centre at Ambepussa with the participation of Brigadier Randula Hatnagoda, CAVT Commandant, Kalaoya along with Mrs. Utpala Samarakoon, Additional Director of District Agricultural Training Centre, Mrs. Priyangika, Assistant Director, District Agriculture Training Centre at Ambepussa, Mrs. Shanthi Ranasinghe, Assistant Director, District Agricultural Training Centre at Walpita and several officials.
