Army Personnel Bag Awards in Arugam Bay ‘Rise Up Sri Lanka’ Marathon

Arugam Bay’s ‘Half-Marathon’ run, organized by the Arugam Bay Development Forum (ABDF) with the support of civil and military organizations under the theme, ‘Rise Up Sri Lanka’ got underway in Arugam Bay tourist resort on Friday (16).

242 Brigade troops of the 24 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) supported the project hand in hand with organizers and facilitated the participation of Army personnel in 10km Marathon (17-45 years) and the Marathon over 45 years at the request of Mr M.S.M Wasith, Chairman, Arugam Bay Development Forum.

Private K.A.V.D Kariyawasam of 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (first place), Lance Corporal D.W.A Dodanwaththa of 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (second place), Private R.M.V Rathnayake of 8 Sri Lanka National Guard (third place) secured victories in the age category (17 - 45 years) in the 10km event.

Similarly Private K.N Maduranga of 5 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (first place) and Lance Corporal M.A.A Bandara of 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (second place) won the 21 km Marathon under the (17 - 42 years) category.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel R.S.C Dissanayake, Commanding Officer, 3 Sri Lanka National Guard won the third place in the Marathon for over 45 years category.

The Chairman of Arugam Bay Development Forum, Mr M.S.M Wasith, Commander, 242 Brigade, Brigadier Damitha Ranasinghe, Director of the ‘Aprota Villas’, Mr Prasad Liyanaarachi, Secretary of the ABDF, Mr S.T Jahufar, Senior Members of the ABDF and Directors of several tourist hotels participated in the project. latest jordans | plain white nike air force ones women high top Colorways, Release Dates, Price , Gov
