521 Brigade in Jaffna in association with the Dental Medical Authorities organized a Dental clinic and workshop for students in the area on Tuesday (12).
The clinic organized under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 52 Division Brigadier W. V. A. Sudasinghe and 521 Brigade Commander Colonel D. M. T. B. Dissanayake was held through out the day at Nelliadi Central College.
Soldiers of the 19th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment with the assistance of the Director Provincial Health Services, Jaffna organized the event conducted by the Provincial Dentist S. Balakumar, Dentist A. Sendil Kumaran of Manthikai Base Hospital, Dentist Siriniwasan of Mobile Dental Unit and Dental Nurse Miss Nadeera of Manthikai MOH Office.
More than 700 students attended the awareness workshop while 179 students were treated at the clinic.
