Army Officer Authored Book on ‘A Globe in a Nutshell’ Presented to the Commander

A copy of the book, ‘A Globe in a Nutshell’, authored by Lieutenant Colonel M.B.B.N Herath of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) was presented to the Lieutenant General Crisanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army this afternoon (18) during a meeting the author has had at the Commander’s Office at the Army Headquarters.

The bilingual product which touch upon ‘Geo Politics and International Relations’ was formally released in March this year during ceremony at the SLAC Banquet Hall in Colombo 15.

The comprehensive analytical study which speaks of a wide verity of geo-politics issues as well as the behaviour of international politics with special focus on continental concerns is an ideal academic product that could go in to all libraries.

The author during his meeting with the Commander where both Sinhala and English versions of the Book were presented, explained the Commander why he decided to author a book of this nature considering balance of powers taking place across the globe.

The Commander in turn thanked the author for his efforts and wished him good luck.
