50 more houses and 22 plots of lands in Jaffna, Point Pedro, Valvettithurai and Sakkottai areas, hitherto occupied by the Army for service purposes were released back to their legitimate owners by the 521 Brigade Headquarters of the Security Forces Headquarters – Jaffna (SFHQ - J) on Saturday (9).
521 Brigade Commander, together with the Divisional Secretary for Point Pedro, released those properties during a brief ceremony where Mr R.T Jayaseelan, Divisional Secretary accepted the documents related to the release of those properties.
Assistant Divisional Secretary, Point Pedro, Mayor of Point Pedro, Senior Officers and property owners attended the occasion.
