Army Men’s Team Selected to Defence Services Games

Defence Services Games Volleyball Tournament - 2016, organized by the Army Volleyball Committee concluded on Monday (01) evening at the Sinha Regiment Indoor stadium in Ambepussa.

The finals of the Men’s and Women’s categories were witnessed by Major General Boniface Perera, President, Sri Lanka Army Volleyball Committee, together with several other Army officers.

Commodore K.S.S Uthpala, President, Sri Lanka Navy Volleyball Committee and Air Vice Marshal R.J Pathirage, President, Sri Lanka Air Force Volleyball Committee attended the day’s event.

Sri Lanka Army Men’s and Women’s teams together with Sri Lanka Air Force Men’s and Women’s teams were selected to the finals.

In the finals, Sri Lanka Army Men’s team became the champions by scoring 3-0 points and Women’s team became the runner-up.
