Troops serving 512 Brigade under the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) launched a ‘Shramadana’ campaign to clean the Ariyakulum Tank that lies on the wayside of Jaffna - Palaly road, removing polythene, plastic and garbage from tank water, including banks of the tank on Saturday (20).
The programme was organized to get rid of mosquito breeding places and giving facilities to pilgrims visiting Naga Viharaya, Jaffna.
More than 50 soldiers participated in the campaign.
