Sri Lanka Army Inter Regiment Elle tournament (men) and Inter Battalion Elle tournament (woman) kicked off at the Gajaba Regimental Headquarters play grounds in Saliyapura on Wednesday (27).
More than 100 Elle players belonging to the 15 Regiments of the Army including 6 woman battalions vies for supremacy during 27 – 30 December.
Those matches will be played at the Public grounds in Anuradapura and Saliyapura, Gajaba Regiment sports grounds. Men’s events are organized under four categories while Woman players compete under two major categories.
Major General Rasika Fernando, Chairman Sri Lanka Army Elle Committee participated in the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest and read the opening declaration.
Finals of the tournament will be played at the Gajaba Regiment sports grounds in Saliyapura on Saturday (30).
